2013

Christmas was delightful full of laughter and too much food. It all began at 4:30am, shocking i know but a little girl in our home was far too excited to sleep any longer and came into our room and quietly notified us that Santa had been to our home. Quickly she awoke her brother so they could both share in the excitement of the morning, it was somewhat of a challenge for me as i had only about 3 hours sleep. We spent christmas eve celebrating at Charles and Angie's home along with Jeff's parents and Amy, it was seriously fun and we ended by reading the christmas story from Luke where we all waited for Jeff to have his turn in his presenters voice ( the kids were busting up).
Christmas dinner was at our good friends Mark and Andrea's home where we enjoyed a very bristish/ Australian tradition meal. We had christmas crackers and turkey and mounds of delicious desserts/ treats.
We then spent the next week enjoying the flu along with movies, games and junk food what more could a person want. Even though we all got sick we were together and loved it.
I still have Christmas up and joke that i will not take it down until people stop asking why it's up, i also suggested that we keep it up so we can have the Christmas spirit all year long. More than likely it'll all be clean with in the week, I'll get over it.
January fills me with the need to deep clean and a desire to bask in the sun and since I can't sit out in the warm sun at this time of year unlike my childhood, i will be deep cleaning and watching movies and maybe read a book or two, oh and a little time on pintrest ( i hope to seriously put effort into making somethings that i have pinned too).
I have spent this evening doing some sewing projects for Caleb and feel much satisfaction in making something of my own choice and out of love not money ( i am glad i can sew and make a little money on the side occationally, but it is a treat to create and give to those closest to me).
